Devere Burnett's (Tenor - General Director) passion for opera and other vocal music has fueled his development as a budding singer, coach, director, and manager. In 2010, he created Kalliope Vocal Arts. Through Kalliope, he has taken on the roles of impresario, vocal coach, music coach, casting director, acting coach, and mentor.
Devere graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a B.A. in music and currently studies voice with Connie Haas. Some of his previous roles include Micah in Carlisle Floyd's Slow Dusk and John Styx in Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld. He has also appeared in UWM’s productions of the musicals Hair, West Side Story, and Oklahoma! His professional credits include being a chorister in the Florentine Opera Company's 2005 production of Verdi's Aida. In 2012, Devere worked as an assistant under director John La Bouchardière for the Florentine Opera Company's production of Idomeneo.
